Dear Quran Lovers,
Let us continue to recite surah 2 al-Baqoroh (synopsis of Islam). Please refer to the text:
"Lai-sa" = Not to be, " 'A-lai" = upon", "Kum" = you (pl.), "Ju-na~hun" = inclined, tendency, "An" = that, "Tabb-ta-ghu~" = you (pl.) seek, desire, "Fadh-lan" = favour, "Min" = from, "Rob-bi" = Lord, "Kum" = your (Pl.).
"Lai-sa 'Alai Kum Ju-na~hun Ant~Tabb-ta-ghu~ Fadh-lam~Mir-Rob-bi Kum".  = It is not (a sin) upon you (pl.) to seek favour (Rizqi/profit in a business) from your Lord/Allah.
(Imam Bukhori narrated from Ibnu Abbas: "Ukadz, Majinnah and Dzulmajaz were the three market places during the pre-Islamic times. They/the Muslimin felt that they would commit sin if they carried their businesses during the Hajj season."  And Abu Daud and others narrated from Ibnu Abbas who said, "They were afraid to carry out their businesses and trading during the Hajj season. They said that the Hajj season is for Dzikir/remembering Allah only. Then Allah revealed this verse, "It is not a (sin) upon you for seeking favour (Rizqi/profit in a business/trade) from your Lord.".
Imam Ahmad narrated from Abu Umamah at-Taimi who said, "I had asked Ibnu Umar, "We render our services for money, are we being included as people performing Hajj?" Ibnu Umar asked, "Did you not perform Tawaf at the Baitulloh, came to Arafah, threw stones at Jumroh and then shaved your heads?" "Yes, we did". Ibnu Umar then said, "There was a man who went to the Prophet s.a.w. and asked him s.a.w. the same question you asked me. He s.a.w. did not answer, until Gabriel a.s. came to him s.a.w. with this revelation, "It is not a (sin) upon you for seeking favour (profit in a business) from your Lord". Then the Prophet s.a.w. called the man and said, "You can perform the Hajj".)
(to be continued).
Until we meet again in the next session, see you all Quran Lovers later.
