Recitatio 29

أعوذبالله من الشيطان الرجيم
بسم الله الرحمان الرحيم
Assalamu alaikum w. w.
Dear Quran Lovers,
Yesterday, my Lap Top "hang" due to over loading. Thus, I can only write above half of what I wrote yesterday.
Let us recite surah 103 Al-'Ashr. Please refer to the text:
أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم
بسم الله الرحمان الرحيم
(1) وَاُلْعَصْرِ = Waw above with silent Lam is "Wal" (an Alif lam Qomariyah/moon), 'Ain above with silent SHod is " 'Ash" (SHod is an Istiilaa and an It*baq/the base and the middle of the tongue are raised), Ro below is "Ri" but is paused on, a Waqof Tamm/perfect, is "rr" (a Ro is paused on and the letter before it is an above letter, عَصْ is a Ro Tafkhim/thick, "rro"). "Wa" = By,  "al-'Ashrr" = time, afternoon.  "Wal-'Ashrr" = (Allah swears:) By the Time/Declining day.
(2) إِنَّ الِإنسَانَ لَفِى خُسْرٍ
إِنَّ اُلْإِنسَانَ = Standing Hamzah below and double Nun is "In~" (نّ is a Wajibul-GHunnah = 2 harakah), Nun above with silent Lam is "Nal" (an Alif lam Qomariyah/moon), standing Hamzah below with Nun and meets with Sin above is "Ins~" (نْ meets with سَ is an Ikhfaa = 2 harakah), Sin above with a tiny Alif is "Sa~" (a Madd ashli = 2 harakah), Nun above is  "Na",  "In~na" = Truely, "al-Ins~sa~na" = the mankind
لَفِى = Lam above is "La", Fa below with Ya is "Fi~" (a Madd ashli = 2 harakah), "La" = to, for, "Fi~" = in
خُسْرٍ = KHo front with silent Sin is "KHus" (KHo is an Istiilaa/the base of the tongue is raised), Ro 2 below is "Rin", but is paused on, a Waqof Tamm/perfect, is "rr" (Ro when paused and the letter before it is a front letter, خُسْ is a Ro Tafkhim/thick, "rre"). "KHusrr" = loss.  "In~nal-Ins~sa~na  La-Fi~ KHusrr" = Truely, mankind is in a state of loss.
(3) إِلَّااُلْذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْاُلصَّلِحَتِ وَتَوَاصَوْابِالْحَقِّ وَتَوَاصَوابِاُلصَّبْرِ
إِلَّااُلَذِينَ = standing Hamzah below and double Lam is "Il", Lam above and double Lam is "Lal" (an Alif lam SYamsiyah/sun), Lam above is "La", DZal below with Ya is "DZi~" (a Madd ashli = 2 harakah), Nun above is "Na" = "Il-la~" = except, "al-La-dzi~na" = those
ءَامَنُواْ = Hamzah above with Alif is "A~" (a Madd ashli = 2 harakah), Mim above is "Ma", Nun front with Waw with useless Alif is "Nu~" (a Madd ashli = 2 harakah), "A~ma-nu~" = to believe, have faith in,  "Il-lal-La-dzi~na  A~ma-nu~ " = Except those who believe
وَعَمِلُواْاُلصَّلِحَتِ = Waw above is "Wa" 'Ain above is " 'A", Mim below is "Mi", Lam front with Waw with useless Alif and double SHod is "Lush" (an Alif lam SYamsiyah/sun), SHod above with a tiny Alif is "SHo~" (a Madd ashli = 2 harakah and the SHod is an Istiilaa), Lam below is "Li", H*a above with a tiny Alif is "H*a~", Ta below is "Ti", but may make a pause here and is called a Waqof Hasan/good, Madd 'Aridh Lis-Sukun = 4 harakah is applied, is "H*a~~t",  "Wa" = and " 'A-mi-lu~" = deed, act, "ash-SHo~li-h*a~ti" = good, rightous,   "Wa 'A-mi-li=ush-SHo~
li-h*a~~t" = and do good deeds.  "Il-lal-La-dzi~na  A~ma-nu~  Wa 'A-mi-lush-SHo~li-h*~~t" = Except those who believe (in Allah, in the Hereafter and so forth) and do good deeds,
وَتَوَاصَوْاْ = Waw above is "Wa" = and,
 Ta above is "Ta", Waw above with Alif is "Wa~" (a Madd ashli = 2 harakah), SHod above with silent Waw with a useless Alif is "SHow" (a Madd Lin/softness = 2 harakah, and SHod is an Istiilaa letter), "Ta-wa~show" = advice, exhort
بِاُلْحَقِّ = Ba below with silent Lam is "Bil" (an alif lam Qomariyah/moon), H*a above and double Qof Is "H*aq", Qof below is "Qi" (Qof is an Istiilaa letter), "Bi" = to, "al-H*aq-qi" = the truth (Note: in the old text, there is a لا /Waqof Mam-nuu = pause is prohibitted sign, so it wrong to pause here) "Wa Ta-wa~show Bil-H*aq-qi" = and exhort (each other) to truth
وَتَوَاصَوْاْ = "Wa Ta-wa~show" = and exhort
بِاُلصَّبْرِ = Ba below and double SHod is "Bish" (an Alif lam SYamsiah/sun), SHod above with silent Ba is "SHobb" (SHod is an Istiilaa and silent Ba is a Qolqolah "bbe"), Ro below is "Ri", but is paused, aWaqof Tamm/perfect is "rr" (Ro when paused and the letter before it is above letter, صَبْ is a Ro Tafkhim/thick is "rre"). "Bi" = to, "ash-SHobrr" = patience, endurance.
"Wa Ta-wa~show Bil-Haq-qi Wa Ta-wa~show Bish-SHobrr" = and exhort (each other) to truth and exhort (each other) to patience and endurance.
صدق الله العظيم = True were the Words of Allah the Greatest.
Insya Allah, in the next session, we shall recite surah 104 Al-Humazah = the backbiter, the slanderer.
