Recitation 354

أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
ألسلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
Dear Quran Lovers,
Let us continue to recite surah 2 Al-Baqoroh, synopsis of Islam. Please refer to the text:
أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم
(207) وَمِنَ اُلنَّاسِ مَن يَشْرِى نَفْسَهُ اُبْتِغَآءَ مَرْضَاتِ اُللهِ قلى وَاُللهُ رَءُوفُم بِاُلْعِبَادِ
وَمِنَ اُلنَّاسِ مَن يَشْرِى نَفْسَهُ اُبْتِغَآءَ مَرْضَاتِ اُللهِ = "Wa Mi-nan~Na~si Mai~Yasy-ri~ Naf-sa Hub-ti-gho~~a Marr-dho~til-La~h".  "Wa" = And, "Mi-na" = from, "an~Na~si" = the Mankind, "Man" = who, "Yasy-ri~" = he sells, sacrifices, "Naf-sa" = self, "Hu" = his, "ib-ti-gho~~a" = wishing, desiring, "Marr-dho-ti" = consent, pleasure, "Al-Lahi" = Allah.
"Wa Mi-nan~Na~si Mai~Yasy-ri~ Naf-sa Hub-ti-gho~~a Marr-dho~til-La~h". = And among the Mankind, there are people who sacrifice themselves (because) they are desiring (to earn) the consent/pleasure of Allah.
قلى = a Waqof Jaiz sign.
وَاُللهُ رَءُوفُم بِاُلْعِبَادِ = "Wal-Lohu Ro-u~fum~Bil-'I-ba~~dd".  "Wa" = And, "Al-Lohu" = Allah, "Ro-u~fun" = to be Merciful, "Bi" = towards, "al-'I-ba~di" = the bondservants.
"Wal-Lohu Ro-u~fum~Bil-'I-ba~~dd".  = And Allah is always showing His mercy towards the/His bondservants.
(While informing about the behaviours of the hypocrites, Allah s.w.t. is also telling us some of the Believers who had sacrificed themselves in the battle in the cause of Allah so that they could earn the pleasure of Allah s.w.t., and Allah s.w.t. always show His Mercy towards the Believers).

Let us now continue to look into the Rites For Umra:
  (4) When Stop, and Stay In A House/Hotel:
  It is Sunnah to recite when entering a house or a hotel, be it in Jeddah, or Medina or Mecca or wherever:
أَعُوذَ بِكَلٍمَاتِ اُللهِ التَّامَّاتِ كُلُّهَا مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ = "A-'u~dzu Bi Ka-li-ma~til-Lahit-Ta~m~ma~ti Kul-lu Ha~ Minsy~Syar-ri Ma~ Kho-laq".  = (I seek protection by Allah's verses/the Quran that are  all completely perfect, from the evil of which He created."
By reciting this, we shall be protected from all misfortune until we leave the house/hotel (as reportede by Khoulah binti Hakim Salmiyyah, narrated by Jamaah").
  (5) When our leader tells us that at such and such time, we shall leave for Mecca to perform Umra. (Let us say that we go to Mecca is to perform Hajj and Umra. From Malaysia, the "Future Hajj and the Future Hajjah" will be sent to either Medina first, then to Mecca, or be sent straight to Mecca). Those who are sent to Medina, when the time to go to Mecca to perform Hajj, they will be sent there a few days before the Tarwiah Day/the Eighth day of Dzul-Hijjah, a day before the Arafah Day/the Nineth day of Dzul-Hijjah). Before leaving Medina for Mecca, the "Future Hajj/Hajjah" will:
 (i) clean themselves, such as cutting nails, shortening the moustache, trimming the beard, removing the arm-pits hair, shaving the pubic hair, then have ablution or better still, take a bath/shower and then, have ablution. Those ladies who have menses or post natal bleeding, must take a bath. Then comb their hair and the beard. The ladies with menses or post natal bleeding should wear their towels. Taking a bath before performing Ihrom is Sunnah.
(ii) After the cleaning, menfolks should discard all sewn clothing and wear Two pieces of Ihrom cloths, one is a wrapper, covering the upper body except the head, and a cover, worn round the middle of the body and below, and tucked round the waist. These two pieces should be in white. (reported by Ibnu Abbas , narrated by Bukhori). Womenfolks should wear clothes as usual but with their faces and their palms uncovered.
(iii) Then apply perfume to the hair, body, clothing, if the scent is still on the bodies and the clothings when they are in Ihrom, is permissible. 
 (iv) Then perform Two Rokaat Solat (to be continued).
