Dear Quran Lovers,
Let us continue to look into the Rites For the Umra:
 The Sa'i:
(4). The Doa that The Prophte s.a.w. recited while the Sa'i:
 (viii) اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّى أَسْأَلُكَ مِنَ الْخَيْرِ كُلِّهِى مَا عَلِمْتُ مِنْهُ وَمَا لَمْ أَعْلَمْ  = "Al-Lohum~ma In~ni~ As-a-lu Ka Mi-nal-Khoi-ri Kul-li Hi~ Ma~ 'A-lim Tu Min Hu Wa Ma~ Lam Aa-lam". = ( O Allah, really, I am asking You for all the great good/wealth and welfare that I know about it and that I do not know.
وَأَعُوذُبِكَ مِنَ الشَّرِّ كُلِّهِى مَا عَلِمْتُ مِنْهُ وَمَا لَمْ أَعْلَمْ = "Wa A-'u~dzu Bi Ka Mi-nasy-Syar-ri Kul-li Hi~ Ma~ 'a-lim Tu Min Hu Wa Ma~ Aa-lam". = ( and I seek protection by You from all the evil, ill, harm which I know and which I do not know.
Wa As-a-lu Kal-Jan~na-ta Wa Ma~ Qor-ro-ba I-lai Ha~", = ( and I am asking You for the Paradise and for what (things to be done) to be close to it,
Min Qow-lin Aw 'A-ma-lin" = ( either by words or by deeds.
وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ النَّارِ وَمَا قَرَّبَ إِلَيْهَا = "Wa A-'u~dzu Bi Ka Mi-nan~Na~ri Wa Ma~ Qor-ro-ba I-lai Ha~" = ( and I seek protection by You from the Hell Fire and from what (things not to be done) to be close to it,
Min Qow-lin Aw 'A-mal". = (either by words or by deeds)."
According to An-Nawawi, the Doa Nos. iv to viii are good for us to recite while performing Sa'i.
[And they are also good for us to recite every time after Solat, while Towaf, when drinking the ZamZam water, at the Multazam, and whenever they are needed].
 (5) When we reach the foot of Marwa mountain, climb to the height where we climbed the Shofa and could see the Baitulloh (from the Shofa), then walk across the Marwa, and stop at the right side of Marwa. Facing towards the Qiblat/Caaba (but we will not be able to see It. Follow the crowd), and recite the Takbir and the Doa as in No. 2. repeat them Three times.
 (6) Then descend the Marwa and walk towards the Shofa. Recite the same Doa as we did from the Shofa to Marwa, and when we come to the overhead green light, walk quickly, then walk normally at the other green light. (I cannot remember how many the green lights are).
 (7) When we reach Shofa, thus, we have completed the first round of our Sa'i. Climb to the height where we are able see the Baitulloh, then recite the Takbir, and the Doa as in No. 2.
 (8) After reciting the Doa, go across the other side of Shofa, and perform the second round of the Sa'i.
 (9) After finishing the Sixth round, walk to the Marwa. When reaching Marwah, we have completed the Rite for Sa'i. Climb up the Marwa, as before, and cut out our hair, for the ladies it is at least Three hairs on the right side of the head first, at the length of of at least a clutch/a handful or that can be touched. For manfolk, to cut a handful of hair on the right side of the head first. [There is a large crowd at the Marwa, it is impossible to shave our heads there. Cut some hair there, first. Then ask a barber, or our friend to shave afterwards.] It is considered a bad practise for manfolk to just cut his hair. It is preferred to have his head shaved. When a person has no hair, either he had shaved before the Umra or the Hajj or he is bald headed, he needs to run the blade/razor to his head.
A person cannot cut another's hair before he/she first cut his/her own hair. While cutting the hair, it Sunnah to recite:
اللهُ أَكْبَرُ اللهُ أَكْبَرُ الله أَكْبَرْ = "Allohu Akbar, Allohu Akbar, Allohu Akbar" = (Allah is Great).
Al-Ham-du Lil-Lahi 'A-la~ Ma~ Ha-da Na~" = ( All Praise and thanks to Allah for what He have guided us).
أَلْحَمْدُ لِلهِ عَلَى مَا أَنْعَمَ بِهِ عَلَيْنَا = "Al-Ham-du Lil-Lahi 'A-la Ma~ An-'a-ma Bi Hi~ 'A-lain Na~". = (All praise and thanks to Allah for the Niimat/benefit, blessing, favour and grace He have bestowed upon us).
Al-Lohum~ma Ha~dza~ Na~dhi-ya Ti~ Fa Ta-qob-bal Min~Ni~" = (O Allah, this is my forelock, so accept it from me.
Wagh-fir Li~ Dzu-nu~bi~" = ( and forgive my sins).
اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْلٍى وَلِلْمُحَلِّقِيْنَ وَالْمُقَصِّرِيْنَ = "Al-Lohum~magh-fir Li~ Wa Lil-Mu-hal-li-qi~na Wal-Mu-qosh-shi-ri~n" =  (O Allah, forgive me and all those who shaved and who cut their hair
Ya~ Wa~si-'al-Magh-fi-roh" = ( O Allah who is Abounding in Forgiving.).
A~mi~n" = (amen).
(10). After cutting the hair, we are in "Tahal-lul"/ free from the  prohibition state in the Ihrom. = End of Rites for Umra.
We can now wear sewn clothes, cover our heads (menfolks), cover our faces (womenfolks), cut our finger nails, apply perfume to our bodies and clothes, hunting.
Rites For the Hajj: (to be continued).
Until we meet again in the next session, see you all Quran Lovers later.
Abdul Hamid Mohd Yusof.
