Quran Letters 5

Assalamu alaikum w. w. Dear Quran Lovers,
Practice Makes Perfect.
We shall continue with the Quranic letters:
(19) A shape of a reverse No. 3 = `Ain = ع
(20)                - do -             with a dot above = GHain = غ
(21) A shape of a boat with a diamond head and a dot = Fa = ف
(22)     - do -      a cup            - do -            & two dots = Qof = ق
(23)     - do -      a right angle with a revs.  No. 2 = Kaf = ك

(19) The makhraj of `Ain =  ع       is from the middle of the throat
(B.M.) Makhraj huruf `Ain = ع ialah di tengah kerongkong.
(20) The Makhraj of GHain = غ     is from the top of the throat with the middle of the tongue is lifted up/istiilaa ( as r pronounced by the Northern, especially in Trg.people: mari = maghi).
(B.M.) Makhraj huruf GHain = غ ialah di pangkal kerongkong dan tengah lidah terangkat/istiilaa ( spt loghat orang Utara & Trg.: lari = laghi).
(21) The makhraj of Fa = ف     is from the inner lower lip with the front teeth on it.
(B.M.) Makhraj huruf Fa = ف ialah sebelah dalam bibir bawah dgn gigi kapak di atasnya.
(22) The makhraj of Qof = ق   is from the base of the tongue and the base of the soft palate with the middle of the tongue is lifted up/istiilaa. ( At times, it written not with a shape of a cup but of a boat. So long as the diamond head is with 2 dots, it is a Qof).
(B.M.) Makhraj huruf Qof = ق ialah di pangkal lidah dan lelangit dan tengah lidah terangkat/istiilaa. (Kekadang Qof ditulis dgn badannya panjang . Selagi kepalanya bertitik 2, ia ialah Qof).
(23) The makhraj of Kaf =  ك   is from the base of the tongue and the base of the soft palate but a bit to the front towards the mouth.
(There are 2 other ways of writing Kaf: (a) a shape of a boat with a slanting stick = كب , please disregard the Ba but treat it as a Kaf without the dot, and (b) a shape of a flamingo resting its head on its body.)
(B.M.) Makhraj huruf Kaf =  ك  ialah di pangkal lidah dan lelangit tetapi terkeluar sedikit dpd makhraj Qof menghala ke mulut. (Ada 2 cara lagi huruf Kaf ditulis: (a) badanya berbentuk perahu dan berkayu =  كب , sila anggap Ba tidak wujud dan itulah huruf Kaf, dan (b) berbentuk burung bangau meletakkan kepalanya ke badannya.

Kita lihat lagi makna Nama Allah ke 70: Al-Muq-tadir = Yang Maha Menentukan.

Kita sambung lihat Rukun Iman ke 4: Percaya akan Rasul: Ulul `Azmi: Muhammad s.a.w.: Sesudah pertemuan Nabi s.a.w. dgn keluarganya di kaki bukit Safa, Islam telah semakin diketahui penduduk Mekah. Ramailah yang memeluk Islam. Ini membuat orang2 yang ingkar menjadi marah. Selain Abu Lahab dan isterinya, Abu Jahal ialah yang juga memusuhi baginda s.a.w. Pada suatu hari Abu Jahal berkata kpd orang ramai, mereka tidak patut membiarkan Muhammad degan seruannya. Muhammad mesti dicegah. Abu Jahal telah berjanji kpd orang ramai yang pada esok harinya dia akan bawa sebuah batu besar dari bukit dan akan hempap kepala Muhammad semasa dia sujud di depan Kaabah. Pada keesokan harinya, Abu Jahal pergi ke Kaabah dengan sebuah batu besar dan ia diikuti orang ramai yang mahu melihatnya dan ada yang mahu membantunya.Mereka menuggu kedatangan Nabi s.a.w. yang tidak tahu rancangan jahat Abu Jahal itu. Tidak lama kemudian, Nabi s.a.w. datang dan menunaikan solat di depan Kaabah. Bila Nabi s.a.w. sujud, Abu Jahal pun mengangkat batu dan mahu menghempap kepala Nabi s.a.w. tetapi, dgn tetiba, ia berudur dgn ketakutan. Badannya gementar dan mukanya menjadi pucat lesi. Kekawannya bertanya mengapa ia menjadi begitu takut? Mengapa tidak jadi menghempap kepala Muhammad? Abu Jahal dan orang ramai beredar dari situ. Bila sudah berada jauh dan Abu Jahal sudah tenang kembali, katanya, "Semasa aku mendekati Muhammad, aku nampak seekor unta yang sangat besar hendak menerajang aku. Aku belum pernah lihat unta sebegitu besar." Orang ramai menjadi tercengang kerana tiada seorang pun yang nampak unta besar yang dikatakan oleh Abu Jahal itu. Nabi s.a.w. pula, meneruskan solatnya hingga selesai. Kemudian Allah menurunkan ayat2 ini, "Ingatlah! sesungguhnya jika dia (Abu Jahal) tidak berhenti (dari menghempap batu keatas Muhammad s.a.w.), nescaya Kami sentap jambulnya yang dusta, yang derhaka itu. Maka biarlah dia memanggil kaumnya, nanti Kami panggil tentera (Kami) yang gagah (malaikat). Ingat, jangan kamu semua taat kpdnya, tetapi hendaklah kamu semua sujud dan hampirkan diri (kpd Allah).(s. 96 Al-`Alaq ayat 15 - 19). (bersambung).
(English) Let us look into the Rule of Faith No.4: Believe in the Messenger: Ulul `Azmi: Muhammad s.a.w.: After the Safa mountain meet, Islam became well known and many embraced Islam. That made those who were against Islam furious. Other than Abu Lahab and wife, there was one person named Abu Jahal. One day, he told the Mecca people that they should not let Muhammad be. He should be stopped. Abu Jahal then promised the people that on the next day, he would fetch a large piece of rock and would crush it on Muhammad`s head when he prostrated in front of the Caaba.The next day, true to his words, Abu Jahal went to the Caaba with a large piece of rock and was followed by many people, some were curious watchers and some were there to help. They waited for the Prophet s.a.w. to come. Then the Prophet s.a.w. came without knowing that Abu Jahal was waiting to crush his head, and performed solat. When prostrating, Abu Jahal lifted the piece of rock wanting to crush the Prophet`s head. But all of a sudden, he was taken aback and was very frightened. His body shook with fear. His face was very pale. His friends asked him what had happened. Why didnt he crush the Prophet`s head. Why was he affraid? Abu Jahal and the party left the place and when they were far from the Kaaba and Abu Jahal was composed, he said, "When I was about to crush Muhammad`s head, I saw a very huge camel coming at me and was about to kick me. I have never seen such a huge camel before." The crowd was astonished as there was no one saw the huge camel. The Prophet s.a.w. carried on with his solat. Then Allah revealed these verses . " No! But if he (Abu Jahal) does not stop (from crushing the large rock on the Prophet), We will haul him by his fore lock, the lying, sinful fore lock. Then let him call upon his people. We (Allah) will call the guards of Hell. No, do not obey him (Abu Jahal). But prostrate yourselves, and come near (to Allah). (s. 96 Al-`Alaq v 15 - 19). (to be continued.)
